Dementia Project Assistant

We are recruiting a second Project Assistant to support with running our reading and peer support groups for people with dementia.

The Project Assistant will assist people who would not be able to attend our activities without additional reminders and assisted transport.

You will escort people with mild-moderate dementia to and from our activity groups. The role will also include calling group attendees to remind them of forthcoming meetings, arranging travel with a local taxi company and with our volunteer drivers, escorting people in a taxi to the meeting and back, and supporting the dementia service co-ordinator to run the groups.

This is a part-time role, at least 6 hours per week, to be worked on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
