A Focus on Link Age Southwark’s Groups

We offer over 25 friendly activity groups across Southwark, run by our fantastic volunteers. Below are some groups which would particularly love to welcome new members. Please call 020 8299 2623 to join any of our groups —we provide transport where possible:

Bridge Group

Our long-standing Bridge Group would like to invite new members to join every other Thursday afternoon in East Dulwich. You don’t have to have any experience to join the group. It’s friendly and competitive, it will keep you on your toes and above all it’s fun! Group members say: “it’s a nice group of people”, “it’s good mental exercise”, “it’s a social outing” and “it’s lovely to come here.”

Men’s Group

This friendly group takes place every month on a Monday morning for an hour, at a pub in Denmark Hill. Many members like to reminisce; some like to play a game of dominoes or cards. This group is led by a friendly volunteer, David, who also provides transport. Group members say: “I look forward to going to the group” and “it lifts my spirits.”

Paxton Green Group

Meeting on alternate Friday afternoons, 1– 3pm in SE21, this very social group enjoys activities such as reminiscence, musical quizzes, arts and craft activities, as well as occasional visits to the Dulwich Picture Gallery and local gardens. Group members say they feel happier and more energetic after attending.
