Welcome to Gemma Kern and goodbye to Michele

As Link Age Southwark grows and develops, so do our staff. Please see some changes happening in the team:

Michele McKeown left us on 28th April after 9 years as a dedicated member of the team. We will all miss her as she pursues career opportunities closer to her new home in Swanley. Michele says, “Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who make Link Age Southwark such a fantastic charity to work for. Keep doing what you’re doing! It’s been wonderful to work with you all. Thank you to the staff team for being so great to work with, I will miss you all.”

Gemma Kern has joined to replace Claire Street, who left at the end of February. Gemma says, “I’m very happy to be joining Link Age Southwark as Older People’s Services Officer. Before this, I worked in various schools and for a couple of local charities in London. I’m most looking forward to meeting many of our older neighbours and setting up some really supportive befriending matches. I’m also looking forward to visiting some of the social groups. I love singing, so I hope I can join in!”
