Helen Hayes MP

Helen Hayes is Labour MP for Dulwich and West Norwood, first elected in 2015 and re-elected in 2017. Before entering politics, Helen was a town planner for twenty years, and a member of Southwark Council from 2010-2016.

Helen sits on the Communities and Local Government Select Committee in Parliament and works extensively on housing and homelessness issues, social care, health and mental health amongst other issues.

Helen says she is delighted to be supporting Link Age Southwark as an ambassador – “Loneliness has a huge impact on physical and mental health, and Link Age Southwark plays such a valuable role in ensuring that older people have the support they need – I’m proud of the work that Link Age Southwark staff and volunteers do, living out care and compassion in our community and building relationships.”
