Open Garden, Sunday 23rd July, 2-5.30pm, 4 Piermont Green, East Dulwich, SE22 0LP.
Come and enjoy this newly redesigned garden, with live music. A makeover was sparked by the death of a beloved old apple tree, resulting in a new look for this upside down L-shaped garden. Out with the vegetable patch and in with a gravel garden, a new brick-edged lawn and a white border blooming in the free space.
Acapella group Broomdasher will sing their specially prepared “Garden Set” to add to the atmosphere of the day. Broomdasher’s 16 acapella voices bring passion, exuberance and stunning harmonies to favourite English folk songs, and are singing here just before they head off to the summer Folk Festival season. From singing in smaller groups and iconic arenas, they formed Broomdasher to share the joy and power of combined voices in engaging and uplifting their audiences.
Entry £3.50 on the door, children free. Homemade teas and plants for sale. Free parking on side streets nearby. Wheelchair accessible.
